Choices

Some say that our lives are defined by the sum of our choices. But our choices aren't really that distinguish what we are. It's our commitment to them.

For some, the commitment is like faith. A devotion to a person elected or an intangible ideal. But for me, the commitment has a shadow side, a dark impulse that constantly asks how far I'm willing to go?

Sometimes it's easier to invent obstacles than go on forever with the decisions we make. Sometimes the commitment of our actions is confused with pride to admit we are wrong, how to make sure that our choice is correct?

At the end is just a leap of faith. The more is at stake, more exciting is the way. Don't overthink.

If we come into the world without any particular purpose, are our decisions what are constructing our way, to give meaning to our lives just up to us.

I think today I'm more reflective than usual, I don't want bore anyone, or seem self-help book, I'm just trying to understand everything that doesn't make sense in my head.

Algunos dicen que nuestras vidas están definidas por la suma de nuestras elecciones. Pero no son realmente nuestras elecciones las que distinguen lo que somos. Es nuestro compromiso con ellas.

Para algunos,el compromiso es como la fe. Una elegida devoción hacia una persona o un ideal intangible. Pero para mí, el compromiso tiene un lado de sombra, un impulso oscuro que constantemente pregunta: ¿hasta dónde estoy dispuesto a llegar?

A veces es más facil inventarse obstáculos, que seguir por siempre con las decisiones que tomamos. A veces el compromiso de nuestras acciones se confunde con el orgullo de admitir que nos equivocamos, ¿cómo estar seguros de que nuestra elección es la correcta?

Al final no es más que un salto al vacío. Tirarse de cabeza con todo. Entre más esté en juego, más emocionante es el trayecto. No hay que pensar tanto las cosas.

Si venimos al mundo sin ningún propósito en particular, son nuestras decisiones las que van armando nuestro camino, el sentido que queremos darle a nuestras vidas sólo depende de nosotros.

Creo que hoy ando más reflexiva que de costumbre, no quiero aburrir, ni parecer libro de autoayuda, simplemente estoy tratando de entender todo lo que no tiene sentido en mi cabeza.
